Dhaka School of Economics (DScE) organized a seminar entitled “Project Planning, Analysis and Management” recently in the capital.
Veteran economist, the Chairperson, and Board of Trustees council, Dr Qazi Kholiquzzaman Ahmad presided over the programme.
Vorvate Chonlasin, Senior Programme Specialist and Head, Public Sector Capacity Building (PSCB) of AIT Extension was the chief facilitator.

As part of corporate social responsibility (CSR), Dhaka School of Economics has undertaken a number of initiatives for developing faculties of DScE and students of Post Graduate Diploma in Enterprise Development.

The chief facilitator Vorvate Chonlasin, talked about the significance of shifting focus to the process of project selection criteria based on honesty, integrity, ethics, and morality on the seminar held on 27th may, 2017.

He also pointed out the impact of analysing the economic, financial, technical, market, and social aspect for appraising any project- statement.

The chairman of Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF), Dr Qazi Kholiquzzaman termed the rural development funding procedure, skill development and management support agencies with special reference to enrich PKSF projects in Bangladesh including detail procedure of implementation, education, health, rehabilitation and training programmes.

Prof Dr Muhammad Mahboob Ali co-ordinated the whole programme.

A seminar on ‘Project Planning, Analysis and Management’ was organized by Dhaka School of Economics on May 27. Dr. Qazi Kholiquzzaman Ahmad, chairman, Board of Trustees Council, presided over the program while  Vorvate Chonlasin, senior program specialist and head, Public Sector Capacity Building (PSCB) of AIT Extension, was chief facilitator.

Sufian Etea, program officer, PSCB, AIT Extension, was assisted Vorvate Chonlasin. As a part of CSR, they tried to develop faculties of DScE and students of Post graduate Enterprise Development students.

Vorvate stressed that the process of project selection criteria should be based on honesty, integrity, ethics, and morality. For appraisal of a project, its economic, financial, technical, market and social aspect need to be analyzed. He argued that project manager should observe their duty efficiently, effectively and with enthusiasm and zeal.

Dr. Qazi Kholiquzzaman Ahmad, who is also chairman of Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF), described rural development funding procedure, skill development and management support agencies with special reference to ENRICH project of PKSF in Bangladesh, which includes detail procedure of implementation, education, health, rehabilitation, and training programmes. The seminar was coordinated by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mahboob Ali.
