A seminar on “Sustainability of Firm Managers in Economic preferences” was held on 10th January, 2017 organized by Dhaka School of Economics. Prof. Dr. Afzal Rahim told that sustainability refers to  the linkage between a person’s value system and different perspectives on sustainability with regard to economical issues  .He argued that the relations between conceptual understandings of sustainability and economic preferences should work both complementary  as well as substitution manner.  The importance of socio-economic context is playing a major role in determining pricing mechanisms, which is taken into account. Introducing a real framework to explore all of these relations, and all relate to leadership are needed for economic benefits of the country. Potential implications for further research and economical education especially in the applied area like environment, sustainability, development, management, financial structure are important as noted by the Prof. Rahim. •    The first essential trait of leadership is positive energy — the capacity to go-go-go with healthy vigor and an upbeat attitude through good times and bad.
•    The second is the ability to energize others, releasing their positive energy, to take any hill.
•    The third trait is edge — the ability to make tough calls, to say yes or no, not maybe.
•    The fourth trait is the talent to execute — very simply, get things done.
