Dhaka School of Economics (DScE)’s Entrepreneurial Economists Club arranged round table conference on “Internationalization of Entrepreneurship for Employment” on Saturday. Dr Qazi Kholiquzzaman Ahmad, Chairman of Governing Council, DScE, was present as chief guest while Associate Prof Dr Moazzem Hossain, Adjunct, Griffith Business School in Australia, presented main paper. Prof Dr Muhammad Mahboob Ali, Program Coordinator of Entrepreneurship Program at DScE, chaired the session. Humaira Azam, Additional Managing Director of Trust Bank Limited and Mohammad Hatem, Senior Vice-President, Exporters Association of Bangladesh (EAB), were also present as special guests.
Dr Moazzem Hossain argued that Govt should work for implementing SDGs like MDGs where the country is role model. Gini coefficient of all over the world needs to improve so that poverty can be eradicated.
Dr Qazi Kholiquzzaman Ahmad argued that DScE is trying hard to work in the line of Govt’s desire through arranging Post Graduate Diploma in Enterprise Development and Master of Economics (Entrepreneurship Economics) programmes as well Bachelor of Entrepreneurship Economics (in future).He put emphasis on social justice and removing income inequality all over the world including Bangladesh.
Professor Muhamamd Mahboob Ali said Bangladesh Employment Policy -2019 should be framed towards Govt’s vision and mission along with pro-people and social welfare. Bangladesh Bank should come forward with a policy like Chinese Banking style in one stop services for entrepreneurs so that they can access to get start up fund, he argued.
Humaira Azam said that the most important factor for Bangladesh is to create quality health at the banking sector and Bangladesh bank is trying to improve the condition.
