Dhaka School of Economics Signs MoU with Wadhwani Foundation to Strengthen Employability Skills and Job Placement

Dhaka, 26 August 2025 — Professor Dr. A. K. Enamul Haque, Chairman of the Governing Body, Dhaka School of Economics (DScE), emphasized the importance of developing employability skills among students to help them face the upcoming challenges of the labor market. He noted that the new collaboration with Wadhwani Foundation would be a significant step toward aligning academic learning with industry needs.

To advance this vision, Dhaka School of Economics, a constituent institution of the University of Dhaka, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Wadhwani Foundation on 26 August 2025 at the DScE campus. The agreement focuses on practical training, career readiness programs, and structured job placement support for students.

Present at the signing ceremony were Rehena Parvin, the Director of Dhaka School of Economics, along with faculty members Dr. Sara Tasneem, Assistant Professor, and Shamim Ahmad, Lecturer. From Wadhwani Foundation, Md. Omar Faruk, Director, Student Success, and Khondkar Abdullah Mahmud, Associate Program Manager, attended the event.

The Director of DScE remarked that the partnership would play a vital role in enhancing the skill sets of students, while representatives from Wadhwani Foundation reaffirmed their commitment to preparing youth with employability skills and linking them with job opportunities.

This collaboration is expected to add long-term value for students of DScE by fostering career growth, building an entrepreneurial mindset, and strengthening industry engagement.
